The game is played on a table containing a betting area, and the roulette wheel. The wheel has 38 different pockets in which the ball could fall, numbered 0 to 37. The betting area is divided into small areas, representing the numbers and colors on the wheel.


Players bet by placing their casino chips on bet areas into which they believe the ball will fall.

The betting area is divided into 2 main areas, namely inside bets and outside bets.

The inside bets can be found on the inside of a table. They are marked with a number. Outside bets are located on the outside of the betting area. They offer players an alternative to betting directly on actual numbers.

The dealer spins the roulette wheel in one direction and the ball in the other, before calling "no more bets please".

Once the ball has come to rest in one of the pockets a marker is placed on the winning number and all the bets that were at that maker are paid out according to the odds.

The dealer collects all losing bets.
